Ojibwemotaadidaa Omaa Gidakiiminaang is pleased to announce a ten-month contract position to document traditional Ojibwe language and cultural activities as part of our on-going and successful Ojibwe immersion program based at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College. Ojibwemotaadidaa Omaa Gidakiiminaang has received funding from the Minnesota Indian Affairs Council, Legacy Amendment, Arts & Cultural Fund to develop, document, and archive the language and practices of traditional Ojibwe activities associated with babies and parenting (including but not limited to: pregnancy, birthing, newborns, infants, toddlers, cradleboard, moss bags, baby swing, and baby rattles). We are seeking a qualified individual with Ojibwe language and organizational experience. Some experience with curriculum development and/or audio-visual experience would also be preferred to assist with this project starting September 5, 2018 and ending June 30, 2019.
This will be a contracted position from September 5, 2018 through June 30, 2018, receiving a monthly stipend. Attached is the announcement and application.
